My name is Gabe McGuinness, I live in Austin, TX. This is the website my future children will tease me about. I'm a geek who won a $10K gaming PC, I crawl around underground, I play hardcourt bicycle polo, I drive a pedicab, and I sell stuff.

Platform: My ten-point plan to win UGM


 

  1. I used to be a chauffeur - Colleen's transportation from and to the airport will be handled in style
  2. I am not now, nor will I ever be: this guy
  3. I never had a console growing up, so PC games are in my blood
  4. I know that the only piece of hardware that could make UGM better is a 3dfx Voodoo 5 6000, and the only software that could do so is Duke Nukem Forever
  5. I'll Give the UGM a dedicated circuit (maybe)
  6. Proceeds from the sale of my current desktop will benefit the charity of Leo's choosing
  7. To offset the extra energy UGM will consume, I'll purchase carbon elimination credits from Climate Friendly (unless someone knows a better provider of offsets)

  9. UGM will be a top producer for the Leoville/TWiT Folding@Home Team for a long long time
  10. If you pick me to win UGM, I'll use the bundled software (including Songsmith) to record a, "Thank You" video to all who made my victory possible (before I bury myself in Fallout 3 and COD 4)
