« Social Media Monday #2: What Is Social Media? »
Monday, November 24, 2008 at 11:55AM While this may have been a more appropriate topic for the first post in the Social Media Monday segment, last week had more pressing issues.
This week will be interesting, as I'm heading back home for Thanksgiving on WTF? Wednesday, so forgive me if I focus more on meta content than original stuff this week. Hopefully it will be interesting stuff, that you haven't seen elsewhere, and thus still worth reading.
It occured to me that perhaps not everyone reading this blog is familiar with what social media is, and why it is important, especially to marketing folks.
I could spend a lot of time and effort putting together a powerpoint on the subject, but chances are it would be fairly similar to this one, by David Griner.
David is a social media strategist for Luckie & Company. He's also a contributor to Adweek's blog, AdFreak.com. His blog, The Social Path is billed as, "A jargon free journey through the world of social media" and he manages to stay remarkably true to his tagline.
